Odle McGuire Shook Architects is pleased to announce that LaPorte Community Schools is receiving bids for 2015 Building Improvements to:

Boston Middle School, 1000 Harrison Street, LaPorte, Indiana 46350

And

Kesling Middle School, 306 E. 18^th Street, LaPorte, Indiana 46350

AT: Educational Services Building, LaPorte Community School Corporation, 1921 “A” Street, LaPorte, Indiana 46350

UNTIL: 2:00 p.m., local time, Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Bids received after that time will be returned unopened.

BID OPENING: The sealed Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter in the Educational Services Building Board Room.

DESCRIPTION: The work at Boston Middle School consists of building improvements including a new accessible entrance and school office renovation, new windows, student lockers, elevator, video surveillance system; mechanical air handler replacement; and miscellaneous renovations. The work at Kesling Middle School consists of building improvements including auditorium renovation including stage floor replacement, new seating, stage lighting renovation, new windows, exterior doors, elevator, mechanical air handler replacements, door access control system, video surveillance system, and miscellaneous renovations. Work at both buildings includes sitework, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work as indicated on the bidding documents prepared by Odle McGuire Shook, Indianapolis, Indiana and its consultants dated February 9, 2015.

TYPE OF BID:  The work will be for a stipulated sum – as a separate Contract for each school building or as a single contract for both schools; individual bids and combination bids will be accepted. Bidders providing a combination bid must provide separate bids for each school.  Construction shall be in full accordance with the Bidding Documents.

EXAMINATION OF DOCUMENTS:  The Bidding Documents are on file with the owner and may be examined by prospective bidders at the following locations:
