Educational Strategic Plan and Facilities Master Plan
The Trustees of the Board of Education for the LaPorte Community School Corporation are pleased to announce that they have engaged a team of experienced and highly-qualified educational planners, architects and engineers from Odle McGuire & Shook to research, assess, and evaluate the current and future needs of all seventeen of the existing school facilities throughout the School Corporation. Running concurrent with the research phase of the project a long-range Vision and Planning Committee comprised of community members and citizens will focus on identifying the best practices and educational needs of the students.
The Vision and Planning Committee will be tasked to review information on curriculum, building utilization, capacity analysis, condition of each school, enrollment projections, fiscal ability to expend resources and potential impact to taxpayers.
An official timeline will be announced at future meetings of the Board.
The public is welcome and will be encouraged to attend these important meetings.
