Odle McGuire Shook to participate in Avant-GARB Fashion Show
April 25, 2012 · Matthew Mayol · News · 0 CommentsINDIANAPOLIS, IND – APRIL 25, 2012 – Odle McGuire Shook (OMS) is participating in the first IIDA Fashion Show ‘Avant-GARB’, that pairs interior designers with industry manufacturers to create one of a kind wearable garments using each manufacturer’s materials. This year’s theme is ‘Sustain-a-ball: Fasion, Design & Sustainablility Collide. Teams were asked to choose inspiration from nature to base their garment design. We are part of the ‘Haworth’ Commercial Office Environments team headed by Sue Stawick. Our team is having so much fun working together to create our dress. We were inspired by the juxtaposition of organic lines and traditional origami, so our design is both structured and soft. To further enhance the contrast, modern Color Blocking was also incorporated. The Fashion Show is April 26th at 7:00 p.m. at SENSU. Contact Indiana IIDA Chapter for event and ticket information.
