The Danville Library building is going through an extensive expansion and renovation project. The plans for this project involve occupying more than half of the existing parking lot on site, which would have created a significant parking shortfall for the library staff and patrons.  With this in mind and on a very tight time schedule, the library purchased property across the street from the main library building, and partnered with OMS created multiple parking concepts to show the library board how the space available could be maximized while still meeting the Town of Danville’s zoning requirements.

Within a four month time frame, The Danville Library and OMS had two existing structures demolished, old basements filled and compacted, bid documents completed and bid and construction completed on the parking lot. In fact the lot was complete one week early and is now in use. The library building site is ready for its renovations and addition. Kramer Corporation is serving as the Owner’s Representative and helping to coordinate the project.
