Last month, The Vigo County Historical Society announced the launch of a capital campaign to fund the new History Center. OMS is the architect for this project, and the Vigo County Historical Society recently shared the floor plans featuring OMS’ renovation designs. OMS produced the designs with hopes of giving new life to this outdated space. Executive Director for the Historical Society Marylee Hagan spoke at the presentation, requesting support from the community to raise $3 Million dollars to accomplish this project saying, “We are hoping this is a concept that will be exciting for people because it is always changing.” “We want it to be a living history center.”

OMS is proud to be the architect for this project and help make history for Vigo County. When the museum renovations are complete the Historical Society will not only have a state of art location to display and store their extensive historical collections containing over 100,000, but it will join several other museums and galleries to help create a “vibrant culture district and arts corridor” for Vigo County.
