Rushville

When the city of Rushville was faced with the challenge of what to do to enhance the loss of a prominent downtown building structure OMS Architects responded with an innovative design solution that will greatly enhance the vibrancy of the downtown core.  Rather than creating just another parking lot the City will be providing a new flexible multi-use structure to support a host of local events including a farmers market with the ability to change window displays of upcoming community events.  The structure also contains much needed public restrooms.  The design concept reinforces the historic fabric and respects the architectural style of the historic brick retail and commercial buildings along Main Street.  The Farmer’s Market concept respects the urban street facades and also provides a visual screen for the adjacent parking lot.
