Finally ready to open to the public next Wednesday, the September 11 Memorial Museum has been created by Davis Brody Bond in Memorial Plaza. Despite the controversy surrounding the museum, the architecture is beautiful and fascinating, including:

  • An angular glass pavilion by Snohetta at the entrance
  • Michael Arad’s memorial fountains
  • Twisted metal ramp from remains of the site

Justin Davidson from the New York Magazine praised “the silvery origami-like pavilion designed by Snohetta” and has been impressed with how the curators handled the controversy.
