Matt Mayol President

Matt Mayol serves as president and CEO of OMS and oversees the strategic focus and business performance of the firm. Well respected for his keen insight and problem-solving abilities, Matt has an in-depth understanding of all areas of architecture and engineering. A graduate of Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Butler University’s Masters of Business Administration Program, Matt is directly responsible for overall quality initiatives at OMS including design excellence, sustainability and technical delivery. He also plays a key role in guiding the firm’s staff development, business diversification and collaborative communication processes. Matt has been with the firm since 1992.

Benjamin Rawlins, ASLA, LEED AP
Principal and Director of Site Planning, Project Manager

Over the course of his award-winning career, Ben has been involved in a wide variety of projects encompassing educational and cultural facilities, parks and recreation, urban revitalization, mixed-use developments, community planning, residential and golf community planning, along with transportation-related planning and design. As a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) skilled in all areas of analysis, planning, design and management, Ben’s approach is to develop a sense of place within the landscape and to explore all of the natural and cultural influences that will make the design sustainable. Ben has been with OMS since 1985.

Matthew Dunahee
Project Designer

Matthew has worked on numerous life science, civic, and healthcare projects as a project designer since graduating from Southern Illinois University. He is also our “in-house” IT management. Matthew has extensive knowledge about technology and the latest software in Revit and AutoCAD.


Michelle McConnell
Controller/Office Manager/Project Coordinator/Assist. PM

Michelle tracks all incoming and outgoing projects from pre-development and bidding to project closeout and completion.  She oversees all accounts, processes payroll, budgets, expense reports, responsible for vendor relations and payments, responsible for all new-hire information, orientations, and all other HR aspects from payroll and benefits to daily employee assistance.  Highly organized and efficient with Construction Project Management Software overseeing OMS policies and procedures, including accounting software for daily activities monitoring as well as for pulling reports to summarize and prepare for presentation to upper management.
