Odle McGuire Shook was an exhibitor at the Indiana Library Federation (ILF) District 2 Conference held at the Frankfort Community Public Library. The conference featured keynote speaker, Nancy Dowd, who spoke on the topic “Creating Stories to Boldly Go Where No Library Has Gone Before…,” and various other seminars that were centralized around the conference theme, “Telling Your Story.” Debra Sparks, OMS Interior Designer, attended a seminar focusing on creating a visual merchandising strategy, in which she gained useful tips to assist in designing entrances for libraries to help engage the attention of their patrons. Debra also attended a theatre performance showcased by Minnetrista at the conclusion of the conference.

The purpose for the ILF District and Annual Conferences is to promote and support the professional growth of all types of libraries in the state. Odle McGuire Shook supports ILF in every aspect, and we are proud to have worked with many libraries through the years. If you missed OMS at the District 2 Conference this past Friday, look for our booth at the CYPD, SAMS, and ILF Annual Conferences throughout the year. We look forward to continuing to work with Indiana public libraries for many years to come.
